It's very friendly and we always bag a few bargains as well as try out some of the different wines with a spot of wine tasting. The knack is not to drink too much and generally there definitely is more laughing on the way back to our accommodation!

Another absolute must, if only you do it once, is to dive deep into the island's past at Timanfaya National Park, marvel at the enduring legacy of Castillo de San José, and immerse yourself in the artistic brilliance at the Fundación César Manrique.
